When you think of the library, you think,"Books!" But the library has come to serve many of our community's needs, starting with books, but also...
DVDs, CDs, and audio books
Periodicals—print and online
Programming and exhibits
Computer access and upkeep
Internet service, database subscriptions
E-books and streaming access to movies, TV, and music
Meeting and study space
These needs are met in many ways, including tax dollars from Tompkins County. But without the participation of our generous donors, our library would not be the hub of activity, education, and entertainment that it is today!
Whether in support of the Annual Fund, growing the endowment, or special initiatives and events planned by the TCPL Foundation, raised funds keep the Library running and able to meet the changing needs of our patrons. Without regular sustaining donors, the Library would not be able to confidently budget for the year ahead. Without endowed and annual funds financed by your neighbors and friends, our collection would lag behind the times.
There are many creative ways you can show your love and help in grow our library:
Everyone who makes a contribution is a library champion!
