The Tompkins County Public Library Foundation serves as a bridge between the community and the Library, making it possible for donors like you to show your support.  Contributions help the Library serve and respond in light of growing usage, evolving needs, changing demographics, and major shifts in technology and publishing.


Our Annual Fund supports essential components of the Library’s services

  • Collections

  • Youth Services

  • Cultural, Educational and Civic Programming


In addition, the Foundation enlists support for special initiatives in response to our community’s growing needs, in areas such as:

  • Adult literacy and ESL programs

  • Youth education and engagement initiatives

  • Technology access and training

  • Professional development

  • Arts celebrations and special exhibits

  • Endowments for operations, collections and programming


The Library is now fine free! We no longer charge fines on late items. this ensures that all people have access to library books and materials. Help us stay fine free by returning your materials. 

  • Materials 30 days overdue are assumed lost & you will be billed for replacement & processing costs. Replacement fees and processing charges for lost or damaged items still apply

  • $1.00 a day out-of-system interlibrary loan fees set by Finger Lakes Library System still apply

  • Support the Library's improved access for all by donating to the Library Foundation
