There are more ways than ever to give in support of TCPL. Gifts of any size are appreciated! Your financial and personal information will be kept completely confidential. We will not sell, trade, or barter your information. The Tompkins County Public Library is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization registered with the IRS and New York State. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Donation Kiosk at TCPL
Our donation kiosk in the Library—affectionately named Ezra Coinnell—accepts cash, credit, checks, PayPal and Venmo.

Gifts of Stock
To make gifts of stock, please contact Kerry Barnes at 607 275-1532 for current information. You can download instructions for providing an electronic transfer for your broker here.
Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
If you have established a Donor-Advised Fund with a community foundation or financial institution, you can make the TCPL Foundation a beneficiary of your gift. Our tax identification number is 16-1422052.
Individual Retirement Account (IRA)
You can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA directly to the TCPL Foundation, a qualified charity. If you're over age 70.5, this is not considered a taxable donation (up to $100,000). Simply provide the Foundation's tax identification number (16-1422052) to your IRA provider and ask them to make the distribution to the TCPL Foundation.
