Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library are just that—friends, contributors, supporters—of all that we do here at TCPL. Since their founding in 1946, the Friends have played an integral role in generating awareness for the resources and programs that TCPL provides. In addition to assisting our Library, the Friends also donate to other organizations with reading initiatives and support to the advancement of current and future librarians.

Twice a year (May and October), book lovers come from great distances to attend the Friends of the Library Booksale. The booksale features thousands upon thousands of materials: new, used, popular, unheard of, fiction, biography, childrens, art, A/V, and anything you can think of materials. Proceeds go directly to TCPL, the Finger Lakes Library System, and other literacy efforts around Tompkins County. To learn about donating materials, volunteering, or obtaining a membership, visit their website here.

May 2-4, 9-11, & 16-19
